Denim jackets are timeless and one of the best wardrobe staples out there. Denim jacket with dresses is a fun way to add a laid back vibe to an outfit. My dress today with the ruffle hem is super cute already. But not only did I want to layer but I really wanted a more laid back vibe. The contrast of the laid back denim jacket with the feminine ruffle hemmed dress is a great combo.
You really can do so much more for a denim jacket and a dress. I could wear the denim jacket with a dress and heels for more of a work or church look. I could also wear it with cowgirl boots for a Southern or Western look. It’s easy to play with. My recommendation however is to think about the denim wash. For example, I wanted a sophisticated clean line for more of darker Fall color so I chose a darker wash denim jacket. Had it been summer, I would have chosen a lighter wash denim jacket or also if I wanted to go even more casual.
